The Cleveland Cavaliers have the best record in the league.
That has been the case for most of the season, and they’ve beaten some very good teams along the way.
Even so, despite being the first team to clinch a playoff spot this season, they’re still not the odds-on favorites to win the Eastern Conference.
The No. 2-seeded Boston Celtics still hold that spot despite splitting the season series with the Cavs and having eight fewer wins than them.
According to Chandler Parsons, that’s because the Cavs haven’t proven themselves at the highest level yet.
Talking on FanDuel TV’s “Run It Back,” Parsons stated that as good as the Cavs have been, they still need to show that they can get the job done in the playoffs.
The Cavaliers are the 6th team in NBA history to win 15 straight games twice in a season, but are still not the favorites over Boston 👀

Then again, he believes that’s going to be the case this season.
Parsons raved about the Cavs and the way they’ve played this season.
He thinks they’re a deep, well-coached, and well-balanced team with no glaring weaknesses right now.
Parsons thinks that the only thing that could get in the Cavs’ way to the top would be a matchup with the Celtics.
Even so, they’ve already shown that they can beat them, and adding De’Andre Hunter and Javonte Green to the mix gives them two very good defenders to throw at Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum.
The Cavs might not have a superstar, but they haven’t needed one to crush almost every single team they’ve faced this season.
