The Cleveland Cavaliers have the best record in the NBA, and that has been the case for most of the season.
However, some people still don’t think they have what it takes to get the job done when it matters the most.
Notably, that’s why Brian Windhorst isn’t surprised to see that, despite their dominance this season, they’re still not the odds-on favorites to win the Eastern Conference.
Talking on ESPN, Windhorst stated that the Cavs still haven’t proved that they can win 12 games in a playoff setting.

He claimed that Donovan Mitchell has also said that in a variety of ways since the start of the season, and that’s because he’s had his fair share of struggles despite having some great teams in the past.
We’ve seen this happen multiple times.
Good teams take care of business in the regular season, but the best teams turn things up a notch in the postseason.
Of course, we’ve also seen teams come out of the left field and win the whole thing despite the doubters.
The Cavaliers have played some of the best offense in recent years, and they rank in the top ten in both offensive and defensive ratings this season.
They’ve beaten some great teams, and they’ve even split the season series vs. the Boston Celtics.
Nevertheless, they still need to prove themselves on the biggest stage.
