The Cleveland Cavaliers own the best record in the league during the 2024-25 NBA season and show no signs of slowing down.
The Cavaliers continue to make a statement as title favorites as they managed to recently defeat the defending champion Boston Celtics.
Cleveland topped Boston 123-116 on the road, putting together one of its most impressive wins of the season considering it was down big early in the game.
The Cavaliers were able to battle back thanks to Donovan Mitchell, who scored 41 points to go along with five assists, three rebounds and one steal.
As the regular season hits the final stretch, Cleveland is in position to make the 2025 NBA Playoffs and secure the top seed.
With the win against the Celtics, the Cavaliers got one step closer to a berth in the playoffs.
“After tonight’s win over the Celtics, the Cavs’ magic number to clinch a playoff spot is four. Cleveland’s magic number to finish no worse than seventh is two,” Evan Dammarell of Right Down Euclid wrote on X.

Four wins are nearly nothing for Cleveland to achieve, especially considering the Cavs have the entirety of March to get the job done.
The Cavaliers have been playing the best and most consistent basketball of any team, and there’s little reason to doubt that they will be able to replicate their success in the postseason.
There’s still work to be done, but Cleveland is barrelling toward the playoffs, and it’ll be interesting to see if anyone can stop them.
