Things didn’t get off to a great start for the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night.
At first, it looked like the Boston Celtics were going to make easy work of them and sail to a painless victory.
But the Cavaliers rallied back and earned one of their most impressive wins of the season.
Following the game, Donovan Mitchell talked to the press about his team, how they rebounded, and the faith he has in his squad.
“I have no doubt we will respond. When we responded, we got the lead then we kept it… we allowed them to tie it but we stayed there. That’s the lesson you take from this game. We can all play at a high level. We’re all locked in continuing to do what we want to do. This is the stage for it,” Mitchell said, per Dylan on X.
Donovan Mitchell Postgame After Win vs Celtics:
“[0:00] Everything that could’ve went possibly wrong, went wrong. At that point you can only go up from there—[0:39, Staying Confident] We’re good. What’s there to trip about? It’s a loud environment. This is what we play… pic.twitter.com/D5qmzqY3RZ

Mitchell and all fans are very pleased with how the Cavaliers responded to the very rough opening minutes of the game.
A number of other teams would have never come back from that and a Celtics’ win would have been assured.
But not the Cavaliers, who figured out what went wrong and fought their way back into the match.
Mitchell admitted that everything that could have gone wrong did right after tip-off and things weren’t looking good.
Social media was flooded with Cleveland fans who were already throwing in the towel and expecting a very long four quarters.
But Mitchell always believes that his team can perform at a high level, no matter the odds.
As long as they get “locked in” and never lose faith, they can climb back into a game despite being in a deficit.
