The Cleveland Cavaliers will give an undrafted rookie a look.
They signed G-League standout Nae’Qwan Tomlin to a ten-day contract after he excelled for their G-League affiliate this season.
He’s scored at least 20 points in each of his last six games, and he’s averaged roughly 24 points per game in his last five.
A three-level scorer at small forward, Tomlin went undrafted out of Memphis, but he’s turned plenty of heads since getting an Exhibit 10 contract with the organization.
As reported by Etienne Catalan on X, he’s going to wear No. 30 with the Cavs, which was last worn by Damian Jones last season.

After trading Georges Niang and Caris LeVert, the Cavs needed to get someone else on a standard contract to be at the minimum of 14 players.
Unfortunately for Tomlin, they will also reportedly sign Javonte Green once he agrees to a buyout with the New Orleans Pelicans.
That’s bad news because the Cavs can essentially allow him to go back to the G-League and still be at 14 players if they do sign Green.
Of course, that can all change depending on how he fares in the five games he will be eligible to play for Kenny Atkinson’s team, assuming he even gets a chance to set foot on the court.
If not, he will most likely return to the Cleveland Charge.
The Cavs hold the best record in the league, and as such, there’s not that much wiggle room or areas of improvement to add more players.
