When we talk about the Cleveland Cavaliers, most people think of Donovan Mitchell or Darius Garland running the team.
But the great truth is that multiple strong stars in Cleveland are helping make success possible.
Sam Merrill is one of them.
As pointed out by CavsMuse on X, Merrill has had an amazing February.
During the month, he has averaged 14.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game.
He has been shooting 52.3 percent from the field and 52.5 percent from the three-point line during that time and has hit every single one of his free throws as well.
Merrill is having yet another great season and is making the Cavaliers even deeper.

Despite these terrific numbers, Merrill has only started in two games this season.
And when he does play, he is on the court for about 19 minutes.
Many other teams throughout the NBA would love to have a player like Merrill starting in games and playing for all four quarters.
The fact that Merrill is still a bench player shows the depth of Cleveland’s roster.
They don’t need a player as productive and strong as Merrill on the court at all times because they have so many other sensational stars.
Instead, head coach Kenny Atkinson can use Merrill as a secret weapon, someone he can bust out at opportune times and get the most out of him when the team really needs it.
Merrill has been on fire in February and there are still a few months to go in the season.
What will he do for the rest of the regular season and in the playoffs?
