The Cleveland Cavaliers were shocked as they fell 132-129 to the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night.
Losing is never easy for this team, especially against a squad that sits far behind them in the Eastern Conference standings.
Writing on X, Cavaliers analyst Mikey McNuggets gave some insight into the disappointing loss.
He noted that Evan Mobley might not be Cleveland’s best player, but he is their “most irreplaceable,” saying the Cavaliers are a different team on both offense and defense without Mobley.
He also added that the Cavaliers are not “an overly athletic team” but the pairing of Mobley and Jarrett Allen hides that.
“A move is coming,” McNuggets wrote, suggesting the team could be active at the trade deadline.
2 big #Cavs takeaways after digesting last night’s loss:
1) Mobley isn’t their best player, but he’s their most irreplaceable. Different teams on both OFF & DEF w/o him.
2) Cavs just aren’t an overly athletic team & EM/JA hide cover up for that most nights. A move is coming.

Mobley missed Friday’s game because of a calf injury and his absence exposed big holes in the team’s strengths.
The Cavaliers have now lost two in a row and they face the very difficult Houston Rockets on Saturday night.
How panicked will fans be if they drop three consecutive matches?
McNuggets said a move is coming, but what will that move look like?
Cleveland’s front office could send away a few contracts and draft picks before February 6, which might grant them a reliable backup big man, but who could it be?
The Cavaliers need to be careful to not freak out and spiral into a bad move because they have had a tough week.
They still share the league’s best record with the Oklahoma City Thunder and are comfortable at the top of the Eastern Conference.
Yet, they have been showing flaws recently and it has people talking and contemplating changes.
