The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to be lauded as one of the best teams in the NBA.
They have assembled a deep roster with many key contributors, making for a team that could be difficult to go against in the playoffs.
Having a deep bench is certainly vital to success in the NBA, but having star power at the top is also key.
Thankfully for the Cavaliers, they have both.
Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and Donovan Mitchell make up one of the most well-rounded trios in the league and have gotten significant recognition for their roles throughout the season.
With this in mind, Cavaliers fans weren’t surprised to see Mitchell named a starter for the upcoming NBA All-Star game, as Tom Withers reported on X.

Withers noted that this is Mitchell’s sixth All-Star selection, an honor that indicates a player’s popularity, as well as how they are playing during that particular season.
Mitchell might not be in the running for league MVP this season, but his contributions to the Cavaliers cannot be understated.
He’ll now get an opportunity to represent the team on a bigger scale, drawing even more attention to the Cavaliers, whose presence in the media continues to grow with each convincing win.
There’s a lot of season left, but considering their hot streaks and the dominant play from some of their top athletes, the Cavaliers are in a great spot at the moment.
Can they sustain this success and make a late-season push to the NBA Finals?
