Superstition is something that has been around in professional sports for a long time.
Certain trends have made players and teams do some unorthodox things, especially if they believe it’ll help them win games.
Cleveland Cavaliers fans believed the team’s powder blue City Edition jerseys were something of a good luck charm, as they had a 3-0 record while donning the uniforms heading into their recent matchup with the Indiana Pacers.
Unfortunately for the Cavaliers, they ended that hot streak, as Evan Dammarell pointed out on X.
The #Cavs have finally lost in their powder blue City Edition threads and are now 3-1 when wearing them.
The only uniform set where Cleveland remains undefeated is their Wine Icon Edition uniforms.

Now, as Damarrell highlighted, the only jersey that the Cavaliers are undefeated in are their Wine Icon edition uniforms, something for fans to hold on to.
This loss was somewhat frustrating as the Cavaliers couldn’t get their typical shots to fall, but the domino was due to fall at some point.
Thankfully for fans, this team has been resilient all season, and if there’s any team that can get back on track after a loss like this, it’s Kenny Atkinson’s roster.
Sure, the City Edition streak might have come to an end, but there are always ways for the team to start a new streak.
The Eastern Conference is still the Cavaliers’ to lose, as they have a healthy lead over the Boston Celtics, the second-place team.
As long as they don’t go on any major losing streaks or skids, the Cavaliers should be in a great place to succeed at the end of the season, given how well they’ve played to this point.
