It didn’t take long for the Cleveland Cavaliers to establish themselves as a team to watch out for in the 2024-2025 NBA season.
They started the year with a 15-0 winning streak and haven’t looked back.
Things keep going the Cavaliers’ way on the court and are fresh off of a great win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, another top team in this league.
The 15-0 start was certainly encouraging and historic for the Cavaliers, but their place in the record books didn’t end there.
As Cavs Notes highlighted on X, the Cavaliers are only the 7th team in league history to start a season with a record of 32-4 or better.
With tonight's 129-122 win over Oklahoma City, the @cavs are now just the 7th team in @NBA history to start 32-4 or better.#LetEmKnow

They are on pace to match or beat the best record in league history, which is currently held by the Golden State Warriors, who went 73-9 in the 2015-2016 season.
There’s a lot of time between now and the end of the season, but it’s at least encouraging that this team is on pace to pass that historic team, which many have called one of the best rosters of all time.
Cleveland might not have the name recognition or overall star power that the 2015-2016 Warriors had, but that doesn’t seem to matter to them.
This team has rallied together and continued to establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with in this league.
Their win over the Thunder might be their latest statement, but they certainly aren’t done showing what they can do and how they can dominate down the stretch.
