The Cleveland Cavaliers have the best record in the NBA right now.
However, it seems they’re not getting the attention they deserve.
That also applies to the players.
With that in mind, Cavs veteran Georges Niang wanted to make one thing loud and clear on social media: Darius Garland is the best point guard in the game right now.
If nobody is gunna say it I will ! BEST POINT GUARD IN THE LEAGUE RIGHT NOW !! https://t.co/P9SOkwqpzp

Of course, one might be unable to tell that by his averages.
He’s averaging 20.5 points and 6.6 assists per game, which, by today’s standards, isn’t the best in the league.
Nevertheless, he’s been one of the most efficient scorers in the game this season.
He has a legitimate chance to finish the season as a member of the 50/40/90 club.
Moreover, just like Stephen Curry with the Golden State Warriors years ago, he’s not scoring more because his team doesn’t need him to do so.
The Cavaliers are blowing their opposition off of the court, and most fourth quarters have been a sheer formality.
Garland’s aggressiveness as a scorer has increased significantly this season, and his court vision as a pass-first player has always been great.
Perhaps Niang’s words are biased because of his ties to the organization, so we should take them with a grain of salt.
Nevertheless, it’s simply impossible to deny that if Garland isn’t the best point guard in the league, he at least deserves a spot near the top.
Hopefully, the media will finally start paying attention to this team at some point.
