The Cleveland Cavaliers’ 15-0 start to the 2024-2025 NBA season will not soon be forgotten.
It’s one of the best starts to a campaign in history, and in the middle of it, fans wondered if the team would ever lose again.
While they eventually lost a game, the team has continued their success and still holds the best record in the NBA.
It might not be as impressive as their 15-0 streak to begin the year, but the Cavaliers made some more history in their Friday night matchup with the Dallas Mavericks.
As Cavs Notes pointed out on X, the Cavaliers went on a 20-0 scoring run against the Mavericks, their most in a game this season.
The @cavs are on a 20-0 run, their longest run of the season.
Their previous best was an 18-0 run against Golden State on Nov. 8.#LetEmKnow

Their previous best run was against the Golden State Warriors on November 8th, where they scored 18 unanswered points.
What does this mean for the Cavaliers moving forward?
For starters, this indicates that the Cavaliers can not only score with the best of them but are extremely capable of shutting their opponents down when necessary.
Defense wins championships, so they say, and while the Cavaliers are a long way from making it to the NBA Finals and fighting for another championship, it’s hard for Cavaliers fans to not be overjoyed with the way their favorite team is playing.
The Eastern Conference is not a cakewalk, as there is some intense competition and fantastic teams, but the Cavaliers haven’t had much of a problem staying at the top of the leaderboard, even though they’ve struggled with many injuries and adversity throughout the season.
