The Cleveland Cavaliers did it again on Friday night, beating the Chicago Bulls 144-126 and earning their 14th consecutive win.
Their 14-0 record is amazing and it’s partly due to the bond and working relationship of Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland.
As pointed out on X by the team, these two combined for 66 points, 13 assists, and 11 three-pointers during Friday’s impressive victory.
They are having great individual seasons and the partnership of Mitchell and Garland has never been better.

It’s hard to believe that there was a time when some fans were calling on the front office to break up this backcourt.
They didn’t think Mitchell and Garland could work together and felt they often made one another redundant.
There were definitely some kinks to work out but they appear to be smoothed over right now.
Mitchell is averaging 24.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game in 2024-25, while Garland is putting up 21.1 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 6.6 assists.
Many people are calling them the best backcourt in the league and they’re a huge reason why the team is doing so well.
The Cavaliers are 14-0 and they are hoping to push this win streak as far as it can go.
Next up for them are the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday evening.
But then the Cavs face another terrific team, the Boston Celtics.
That might be their biggest challenge yet and it’ll require that Mitchell and Garland once again show up in a huge way.
The duo has been put to the test multiple times but Tuesday’s game against Boston will be their largest battle yet.
