The Cleveland Cavaliers have started the 2024-25 season with a 13-0 record, something that few other teams have ever achieved.
Although they are receiving a ton of praise for this, some people feel they aren’t being recognized like they should.
Speaking on “Full Court Cleveland”, Sam Amico talked about how the national press isn’t paying enough attention to the Cavs.
Amico said:
“You’re talking about a team that’s one of six teams in the history of the NBA who has done this. You’d think they’d get more love nationally.”
The national media has barely moved a muscle that the #Cavs are 13-0. #LetEmKnow

Amico stated the team shouldn’t be bothered by this and needs to remain motivated, win more, and focus on going as far as possible in the season.
He believes that eventually, they will get the sort of press they deserve.
There are a few reasons why the Cavaliers aren’t being championed by the national media like Amico thinks they should.
Firstly, the season is still young, so not as many sports fans are paying attention.
Secondly, it’s been a long time since the Cavaliers were true playoff contenders, so some people don’t think they have what it takes to go all the way to the postseason.
They may have started hot but certain fans think they will cool off fast at some point.
Finally, this team is still an unknown commodity to many people, even some NBA fans.
This isn’t going to stop the Cavaliers from playing hard and attempting to extend their win streak.
They aren’t doing this for the fame or attention, they are doing it because they want to win.
Right now, that’s all they are doing.
