The Cleveland Cavaliers are exceeding all projections and expectations right now.
They were expected to win close to 50 games this year, but they’re well on the pace of shattering that initial projection.
Kenny Atkinson’s team has won 11 games in as many outings, including a major comeback win over the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night.
As pointed out by Cavs Notes on X, they finished the game on a 26-11 run to secure a five-point triumph.
More importantly, they’ve become the 12th team in league history to open a season with 11 wins and no losses.
With tonight's 105-100 win, the @cavs have now won 11 straight games to start the season.
Cleveland is just the 12th team in @NBA history to open the season 11-0.
The Cavs closed out tonight's game on a 26-11 run.#LetEmKnow

The Cavaliers have been a strong team for years, but few people had them on their shortlist as championship contenders.
They currently have the best offense and defense in the game, and Atkinson has been a breath of fresh air for a franchise that was looking for a spark.
Of course, it’s not about how you start a season but how you finish it.
We’ve seen injuries and rough patches derail a once-promising campaign way too many times, and some might argue that they have yet to play top-notch competition at full strength.
Whether that’s the case or not is debatable.
The stats show that this team might be the best or one of the best in the National Basketball Association right now.
