The Cleveland Cavaliers are off to a red-hot start this season and currently have an 8-0 record.
The roster looks a lot like it did last year so what has led to such success in 2024-25?
Speaking to ESPN Cleveland, Brian Windhorst went over some of the factors contributing to the team’s wins.
He said that “continuity” and “health” have helped the Cavaliers a lot.
He also added that they are a great team when it comes to clutch situations and are 3-0 in games when it comes down to the wire.
But above all else, he said the improvements of Evan Mobley and Darius Garland have opened the door for Cleveland.
“While they enjoy the advantage of continuity, their ceiling has been raised because of Evan Mobley and Darius Garland,” Windhorst said.

During the summer, some Cavaliers fans were unhappy to see little movement from the front office.
They wanted the team to sign more talent and bolster the roster but the Cavaliers decided to stay put and not shake things up.
That ended up being the right move because the returning roster is playing much better than they did last year.
Mobley and Garland have enhanced their game and found new strength and a higher level of productivity.
The fact that they haven’t had to start working with new players has helped them out a lot and that’s why the continuity has been so beneficial.
The Cavaliers knew they had everything they needed for success so they didn’t disrupt what they were building.
That is all paying off now.
