For years, the Cleveland Cavaliers knocked on the door of contention.
However, not many people had them as a legitimate candidate heading into the 2024 season.
Fast forward to today, and they hold the best record in the league.
It’s still early in the season to say, but for the first time in years, it seems like this team knows they can go far.
That’s what Kenny Atkinson wanted to point out after they held their ground in their recent victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Following the game, their new coach talked about how, despite their humbleness, they still know how good they are (via Dylan W Design).
Kenny Atkinson’s Full Post Game In Win vs the Bucks:
“There’s a quiet confidence about this team. There’s a humility but they know they’re good—- They know, they have that sense that they need to make the next step.”#LetEmKnow pic.twitter.com/RG6hFzJYz3

The Cavaliers are playing elite defense, but the way they’ve shared the ball on offense has been the biggest difference since Atkinson took the reins of the team.
All of their key contributors are getting touches, finding their rhythm, and staying aggressive.
The Cavaliers are due for some regression at one point, as their undefeated streak is unsustainable.
But for the first time since the LeBron James days, it seems like they know they could hold their own against any opponent that stands in their way.
It takes a great coach to instill that kind of confidence in their players.
This is a young and up-and-coming group with a significant amount of untapped potential, and given Atkinson’s resume and expertise as an offensive-minded coach, it seems like he was a match made in heaven for this organization.
