The Cleveland Cavaliers are currently one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference right now but that doesn’t mean they won’t be tempted to make some changes before the NBA trade deadline.
However, saying goodbye to Jarrett Allen won’t be one of those changes.
Jake Fischer is reporting that the Cavaliers are committed to keeping Allen and aren’t even entertaining the idea of another team signing him.
According to Fischer:
“The Brooklyn Nets, league sources told Yahoo Sports, continue to shut down any inquiry for Mikal Bridges, as HoopsHype reported earlier this week. The same goes for Jarrett Allen in Cleveland, where the Cavaliers have rebuffed any interest in their All-Star center, sources said, not to mention the team’s strong stance they’re holding onto Donovan Mitchell.”

According to Fischer, the Cavaliers aren’t going to budge on Allen or Donovan Mitchell, who have cemented themselves as the two most important players for the team this season.
Allen and Mitchell have been saviors for the team, which has suffered a string of injuries and the lengthy absences of both Evan Mobley and Darius Garland.
Even without those two, the Cavaliers have surged, partly thanks to Allen and Mitchell.
Like all teams across the league, the Cavaliers have a lot of options before the February 8 deadline.
They may choose to send a few other stars away, but Allen and Mitchell are staying put.
If the Cavaliers decide to play in the trade market, which athletes will be ordered to pack their bags and move to another team?
Is there a chance they’d take calls for Mobley or Garland, who just returned from their respective injuries?
Or will they sit still and ride with this crew until the end of the season?
