Although they had a rough first quarter, the Cleveland Cavaliers were able to score a 108-101 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday night.
After the game, Donovan Mitchell told Bally Sports Cleveland what it took to earn the victory.
“Resiliency,” Mitchell said, before talking about being selected for his fifth consecutive All-Star Game.
Mitchell was actually informed of his All-Star selection by his mom, who called him during his pre-game warmups.
Although Mitchell is very proud of what he has done with the Cavaliers, he knows he wouldn’t be able to represent them in the big game if it weren’t for the rest of the team.
“I wouldn’t be here without my teammates,” he said.

Mitchell has been sensational again this season, so his selection to the All-Star Game isn’t that shocking.
He is averaging 28.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 6.4 assists.
He has been particularly great over the last month, as the team has struggled to stay healthy.
Led by Mitchell, the rest of the roster has stepped up in a big way and they are now one of the best teams in their conference with a robust 30-16 record.
They are coming close to stealing the third seed against the very competitive New York Knicks.
Mitchell will be the only Cavaliers star at the All-Star Game and he is going to try hard to make his team proud.
The Cavaliers have won 12 of their last 13 games and are looking forward to pushing into this next stretch of games with a fully healthy roster.
They will next play the San Antonio Spurs, Sacramento Kings, and Washington Wizards.
