The Cleveland Cavaliers have played phenomenally well in the 2023-24 NBA season, and both Mitchell and Allen have remained key contributors to the team’s success.
Mitchell has averaged 27.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game for the Cavaliers over 32 appearances this season.
Mitchell has shot 46.2% from the field and 34.9% from the three-point line this season.
On the other hand, Allen has played 36 games this season while averaging 14.8 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game for the Cavaliers.
He has shot a commendable 66.9% from the field but has yet to make even a single three-pointer this season.
Considering he is a center, it is no surprise that Allen has attempted only one three-pointer over 36 games.
Looking at the two stars’ stats, it makes sense why they managed to make it to the player pool for Team USA.
