The Cleveland Cavaliers have played the majority of the 2023-24 NBA season without one of their best players, Darius Garland.
Garland has missed a substantial amount of time due to a broken jaw injury.
It’s obvious that it will take Garland some time to heal before he has a shot at contributing to the Cavaliers’ success this season.
Fortunately, Garland is making a speedy recovery and fans won’t have to wait too long to see him back in action.
However, despite Garland’s progress in recovery, he will not travel with the rest of the team during their 10-day road trip, as revealed via Evan Dammarell on Twitter.
#Cavs head coach J.B. Bickerstaff shared with me that Darius Garland will not travel with the team on their upcoming ten day, four-game road trip.

Dammarell didn’t make the claim out of thin air; instead, the Cavaliers reporter mentioned that it was none other than Cavaliers head coach J.B. Bickerstaff who shared the news with him.
Prior to getting injured, Garland averaged 20.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game for the Cavaliers in 20 appearances this season.
While the 23-year-old was having a great season, he will need some more time before he can continue putting in excellent numbers for the Cavaliers.
Meanwhile, the Cavaliers have a four-game road trip ahead of them, which will last for 10 days.
Even without Garland on the roster, the Cavaliers have found a way to be successful this season.
After all, they are currently the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference and have a solid 24-15 record.
Can the Cavaliers continue playing at this level?
Well, fans will find out over the next few days.
