The Cleveland Cavaliers are currently battling to stay in the top eight of the Eastern Conference after getting off to a slow start in 2023-24.
A key reason behind the team’s struggles has been injuries to some essential players early in the season.
As of now, the Cavaliers are playing without the likes of Darius Garland and Evan Mobley.
Despite obviously being handicapped due to injuries, Jarrett Allen of the Cleveland Cavaliers has yet to give up on the team.
Speaking to Bally Sports Cleveland, the veteran big man pointed out how the organization is always ready to trust other players to take over and win games during such injury issues.
“We always rely on the next guy to be ready to come in and make an impact,” Allen said.

While it is always good to have multiple role players and up-and-comers on a team who can take over the game when required, the presence of star players is still required to succeed in today’s NBA.
After all, the likes of Darius Garland and Evan Mobley are two of the best players on the current Cavaliers team.
Even without them, the organization registered a stunning 127-119 victory over the Atlanta Hawks in their recent matchup during the 2023-24 NBA season.
The Cavs are now the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 14-12 record.
Although they are just one game behind the fifth seed in the conference, they still need their best players to be healthy to attain their goals.
With plenty of games left in the regular season, can the Cavaliers still make a comeback?
Only time will tell.
