The Cleveland Cavaliers were one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference in the 2022-23 NBA season.
Evidently, fans expected the Cavs to continue building on that and be a championship contender right off the bat in the 2023-24 NBA season.
However, the Cavaliers have struggled to win games consistently this season.
Keeping that in mind, Max Strus recently claimed that the Cavaliers have had an average start to the campaign.
Upon learning about that, Darius Garland agreed with his teammate’s remarks about the Cavaliers, but he also had a positive reaction after learning about the team’s record in the last 10 games via Evan Dammarell on Twitter.
“I mean, when you put it like that, I’ll take it,” Garland said.
#Cavs guard Darius Garland tells me he agrees with Max Strus that Cleveland has been average to start the season.
But, when told they’ve been 7-3 in their last 10 games, Garland perked up.
“I mean, when you put it like that, I’ll take it.”

The Cleveland Cavaliers have managed to attain a 7-3 record in the last 10 games of the regular season.
To be honest, this little run has helped the team stay away from falling below the .500 mark this season.
But even after such good form in the last 10 games of the season, the Cavaliers are still the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference with an 11-9 record.
Considering the Cavaliers still have 62 games to ultimately improve their performance and clinch a top seed in the conference, it’s certainly good to know for the fanbase.
However, at the same time, if the Cavaliers do not take their next 15 or so games seriously, they could find themselves in the middle of a slump.
Can the Cavaliers make a comeback this season behind the likes of Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, and Max Strus? Fans will find out over the next month or so.
