The Cleveland Cavaliers had the perfect opportunity to increase their win streak to three games following their matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers.
Unfortunately, a game that should have been an easy win for the Cavaliers went in favor of the Trail Blazers.
Darius Garland’s poor performance was one of the key reasons behind the Cavaliers’ defeat.
Garland was so bad against the Trail Blazers that he had eight turnovers in 37 minutes of playing time.
Speaking of turnovers, Garland is currently second on the list of most turnovers per game this season despite being 40th in usage rate, as revealed via Anthony Lima.
The Garland turnover numbers are worse than they look when you factor in the usage rate. Darius is 40th in usage but 2nd in turnovers. That's craziness, especially considering how his turnover numbers were always pretty normal. pic.twitter.com/3cGUUFeG8n

It’s no surprise that Darius Garland is unable to handle the ball well this season.
In fact, the Cleveland Cavaliers star has committed 20 turnovers in his last five games of the regular season.
Apart from turning the ball over, Garland struggled to shoot against the Portland Trail Blazers.
He shot an abysmal 33% from the field against the Trail Blazers, which played a crucial role in the Cavs’ defeat.
Coming back to Garland’s increased turnovers, he averaged just 2.9 turnovers per game last season.
In fact, Garland had never averaged more than 3.6 turnovers per game for the Cavaliers.
But this season, Garland has seemingly lost his amazing ball-handling skills.
Unless Garland puts a stop to his turnovers, the Cavaliers will most likely continue to struggle for a permanent spot in the playoffs.
Can Darius Garland show any signs of improvement in this department? Fans will find out in the future.
