Christmas is still months away, but the NBA is giving fans something to be excited about in August.
On Friday, Shams Charania got his hands on the league’s Christmas Day schedule, and the Cleveland Cavaliers are featured.
In fact, according to Bleacher Report, they kick things off with a game against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
That is the first of five games for basketball fans, and it is followed by the San Antonio Spurs versus the reigning champion Oklahoma City Thunder, the Houston Rockets against the Los Angeles Lakers, the Dallas Mavericks versus the Golden State Warriors, and the Minnesota Timberwolves facing off against the Denver Nuggets.

The Cavaliers and Knicks have been building a rivalry, and they will keep that up in 2025-26.
They are viewed as the two most fearsome teams in the East for the new season, especially now that Jayson Tatum and Tyrese Haliburton are out.
Other teams, such as the Atlanta Hawks, Milwaukee Bucks, and Orlando Magic, will definitely be in the mix for the best in the East, but the Knicks and Cavs are seen as the ones to beat, at least right now.
By the time Christmas rolls around, we will have a much better idea of how strong these two teams are.
There is a good chance that this game will be a battle between the two best squads in the conference.
Christmas is a huge holiday for the NBA, and the teams that get selected to play are always honored because they are seen as the most exciting in the league.
That will be no different in 2025-26.
