The Cavaliers were the best team in the East in 2024-25, so it’s no surprise to see them at the top of this list.
But if this last season proved anything, it’s that nothing is guaranteed.
Even with a historic season that saw them climb to the top of the standings, the Cavaliers weren’t able to get it done in the playoffs.
They fell apart and were pushed out before reaching the Finals.
They don’t want that to happen again next season because they now have a reputation as a team that cannot seal the deal and step up in the postseason.
That means that even more pressure will be on the Cavaliers next season.
They might be the favorites to win it all, but it’s obvious that nothing will be easy.
It’s also obvious that the Cavaliers might not have what it takes unless they make changes this summer.
It’s far too early to make a real judgment and prediction about who will win the East next season.
The Cavaliers might have a good shot, but their competition won’t go easy on them, and history could repeat itself.
